Your New Role..

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Practice Quality & Development Specialist. This is a newly created position, reporting directly to the Quality and Risk Coordinator. The position is full time through to February 2019, with the possibility to extend the role subject to funding.

As the Practice Quality and Development Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for the oversight of core fundamentals of the Service Delivery Model (Compass), Practice Frameworks and will also oversee Ngala's Practice Governance Implementation plan. This position will work closely with the Directors, Managers and Coordinators, throughout the organisation to achieve a high performing culture, based on critical thinking and life long learning.

Amongst other things you will:

  • Be responsible for planning, monitoring and reporting to Practice Governance Committee.
  • Further develop and strengthen internal relationships and practice culture, Facilitate the Resource Review Group and monitor resources used by practice staff..
  • Work in conjunction with the Quality and Risk Coordinator on priorities for Ngala's Quality Management System.

About you..

As the successful applicant, you will have a passion for quality and continuous improvement, along with:

  • A Tertiary Qualification in Nursing or other Health related fields, Early Childhood Education, Social Sciences.
  • Demonstrated experience in practice governance oversight including the development of effective processes and systems.
  • Experience in early childhood and parenting, you or community development practice.
  • Confident in developing key client relationships to further develop effective practice cultures.
  • Knowledge of Outcome - based accountability (RBA).
  • High-level time management and organisational abilities.
  • Advanced/Proficient Administration level of competency (attached).
  • Advanced IT level of competency (attached).
  • Understanding of Project Management principles and ability to achieve targets and deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication (written, verbal and listening) and interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships, consult with key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and understanding of inclusive and culturally sensitive practice.
